Authentic Bass Ale Mug
Bass Ale is an iconic British brand founded in 1777 by William Bass. The first brewery was located in Burton upon Trent, England. From 1777 onward, Bass grew to become England's best selling beer by the 1870's and took the mantle as the largest brewery in the world. The brand is easily recognized by the red triangle which was England's first trademark. Bass Ale was also one for the first companies to be traded on the London Stock Exchange.
This dimpled mug is decorated with the Bass logo and distinctive red triangle trademark. The mug itself is almost as iconic as the Bass brand. Dimpled mugs (also call dimpled jugs in England) were the most popular glass type in English pubs up to the 1980's when pint glasses started to replace them. These mugs were the favorites of bartenders because of their thick glass which offers durability and the ability to keep beer cold. Currently, there's been a resurgence in use because of this durability.
This beer mug is must have piece of glassware for your home bar and it will quickly become your "go-to" beer glass for enjoying ales and lagers. Pour a bottle of Bass in the mug and sit back and enjoy a traditional English pub experience!
