Authentic Uerige Beer Glass
This hard to find Uerigebeer glass comes directly from the brewery in Dusseldorf, Germany. It has the Uerige shield on the front along the slogan "dat leckere droppke." Uerige is one of a handful of breweries in Dusseldorf that produce altbier (translates from German to Old Beer - refers to old style beer). This stange glass is the traditional type of glass used to serve this beer and very hard to find outside of Germany.

This uniquely German style of beer that is thought to have been first brewed in the Westphalia region of Germany. Altbier is an ale that is fermented at cooler temperatures (in 50's F) than other ales (60-70's F). Using a special yeast strain and fermenting at lower than usual temperature imparts the ale-like fruitiness and the clean finish of a lager. The amount of hops various from brewer to brewer but the accepted Bitterness IBU range is between 25 and 52. The color tends to be copper or garnet. The alcohol content is 4-5.5% making it a good session beer.
