Detailed Description:

This is a traditional style mouth blown glass drinking boot. This popular item is always an excellent topic of conversation. The secret to drinking from the boot is to point the toe sideways. When the toe is pointed downward, the boot cannot be easily emptied. When the toe is pointed upwards, the liquid flows out of the boot very quickly and uncontrollably, usually spilling all over the drinker. Made in China.

This beer boot is machine blown in a mould and is made from thick glass. A seam from the mouth runs along the length of the glass boot. This is an affordable alternative to our European produced products.

The German custom of drinking for a boot shaped drinking vessel supposedly started as a German army tradition during World War I. Soldiers would pass around a leather boot of bier prior to engaging the enemy. It was considered good luck to flick the beer boot before and after drinking from it. Americans soldiers were introduced to the custom of drink from a glass beer boot while stationed in Germany after World War II. There is a trick to drinking from a beer boot as to not get showered with beer if the toe of the boot is pointed in the wrong direction. The American soldiers had great fun with the beer boots and the fine German beer during their time in Germany . Many of them brought back beer boots and beer steins with them on their return to United States .

Beer boots saw a rise in popularity with the release of the movie BEERFEST by the folks from the Broken Lizard comedy group. In this movie beer boots were used in a beer drinking competition that was no doubt repeated countless times on college campuses after the movies was released.

	I purchased 15 of these 1 Liter boots. I work at a brewery so my "christmas gifts" made a lot of my friends happy. 	Das Boot!
	what a GREAT glass, it's always funny watching someone take a sip for the first time from it and get blasted in the face with beer from the air bubble at the bottom of the boot, definitely buy this, I have 3 of them. (all different sizes.)

	Helpful customer service
	I am satisfied with the boots. I got them as wedding gifts for my groomsmen and everybody liked them. One boot broke during delivery, and customer service replaced the boot quickly and without question. They were very helpful.

	A great boot!
	This boot is a little over 36oz. It is a great buy I have really enjoyed it and it cleans up really well, it is perfect for those 5am nights with the roommates.
