Beware of Knock off Beer Boots

Beware of Knock off Beer Boots

The movie BeerFest has really energized the beer boot market in the USA.  We’ve been importing glass beer boots from Germany and Austria for years now and we witnessed a huge spike in interest after BeerFest was released.   Two things resulted from this spike;

1. Supplies of beer boots quickly disappeared.

2. Some online sellers resorted to buying cheap knock off beer boots from China.

Since we have been selling beer boots for so long, we had no problem keeping up with demand.  We buy directly from the glasswork companies in Germany and Austria. As soon as they come off the line, they are placed on a boat pointed towards our warehouse in Boston, MA.   The quality and craftsmanship that goes into these real and authentic beer boots is amazing.  Whether the beer boot is made of pressed glass or mouth blown, it is a work of art.

Other online stores couldn’t (and still can’t) keep up with demand.  It appears they were forced to buy cheap knock off boots from China is try to keep up with demand.   Reports are that these beer boots are far inferior to their German and Austrian counterparts.

As a customer, you really need to find out where the beer boot is made before buying one.  You’ll want a German or Austrian beer boot that will be heirloom quality and will last forever (if properly maintained).  You probably don’t want a cheap knock off boot that could be more liable to crack or chip.   If the store doesn’t say where the beer boot is made , then it most likely come from China.

Do your research and buy an authentic beer boot right from Europe – just like the beer boot used on the set of BeerFest.
