A surprise came in the mail today.  It was a gift was from the brother’s Alstrom of BeerAdvocate fame.  Upon opening the envelope, I laid my eyes on the inaugural issues of BeerAdvocate magazine and accompanying 2007 calendar.  Folks, this magazine is the best thing since Jimmy Peanuts legalized home brewing in the US.  The graphical layout is cutting edge and impressive.  The content lives up to the literary excellence one expects from the Alstrom Brothers. 

I regularly read all the beer related magazines available in the US (and one from the UK).  They all share the same format to point where it’s hard to tell them apart.  BeerAdvocate Magazine definitely does things differently and it’s a breath of fresh air.   Inside you’ll find informative articles relating all things beer as well as event listing and beer destinations.
